The Importance Of Servicing For Your Hot Tub

With hot tub use increasing in popularity month-on-month, it’s never been more important to keep on top of servicing for your hot tub. These home spa facilities often carry a high price tag and an investment of this size needs to be protected. Whether you sink into the hot water to relax weary muscles or as a weight loss technique, caring for your hot tub is both easy and essential. Read on to learn all you need to know about servicing and maintenance.

What is a hot tub service?

As with any regularly used appliance, your hot tub needs to be checked regularly to ensure everything is in working order. During a hot tub service, one of our fully-qualified technicians will:

  • Treat with a limescale additive
  • Fully drain down your tub
  • Perform a full-shell deep clean
  • Clean all panels and apply UV protection
  • Clean the cover and apply the required protection
  • Check all accessible jets, pumps, heater seals, cables, lights and fittings
  • Check the main control system to ensure it’s working properly
  • Re-fill and shock treat the spa system
  • Run a full test to ensure everything is working appropriately.

The entire process can take anything up to 2 hours, depending on the state of your hot tub.

How often should you book a hot tub service?

To ensure your manufacturer’s warranty remains valid, you must service your hot tub annually. We offer a service plan for just £299 that allows you to book your slot early on to ensure you don’t forget.

We also recommend that, if you notice a problem with your hot tub in between services, you contact us quickly. Most issues can be diagnosed by our professional team and addressed in no time. Using the latest technology and equipment, we offer competitive pricing and flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.

How to maintain your hot tub in between services

Outside of services, there are many ways to maintain your hot tub to maintain hygiene, minimise faults and ensure the system is efficient. We recommend that you:

  • Use a fast-acting plumbing cleaner every few months to remove residue or body oils
  • Regularly drain the hot tub and wipe the inside with a damp cloth and a cleaner solution
  • Change your water entirely every three to four months, depending on usage.
  • Maintain your chlorine levels between 3 and 5mg/l to kill off unwanted bacteria.
  • Regularly check the water’s pH level, ensuring it is between 7.2 and 7.6.
  • Clean and replace the filter cartridges.

we are experts in hot tub repairs and servicing. Whether you choose to book our servicing plans or get in contact for a specific repair, our professional team is always here to help.
